Michaela is a London based physical actor/aerialist originally from Australia however she has performed all over the world primarily in UK and USA.
She has trained and performed in all things aerial including trapeze, rope, silks, wire/harness and group aerial equipment. Her training began at National Centre of Circus Arts (formerly Circus Space) London when she was chosen for the exclusive training program for the Millennium Dome Central Show. She was a founding member of the Generating Company devising and touring with their first 3 shows throughout Europe. She then left for Las Vegas to be an original cast member of Franco Dragone’s epic water show Le Reve, featuring in the Sphere act.
She has performed in numerous corporate events and festivals in Europe, USA, India and UK including Mary Poppins in the Opening Ceremony for the 2012 Olympics Games and Cameron Mackintosh’s Barnum in Chichester.
As a clown/actor she has performed on Broadway, Melbourne Comedy Festival and throughout the UK. She toured Europe as a clown with Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Kooza’, and performed clown and trapeze in the award winning Lost in Transit at the Brighton Spiegeltent.
She also freelancers as an aerial consultant, clients include X Factor and Katie Perry. Currently she is developing her own aerial theatre show ‘Hattie’ and is a core teacher and Course Manager for the National Centre for Circus Arts London.
